To establish and maintain a Mithila Sanskritik Parishad for the promotion of literature, science, fine arts and for the diffusion of useful knowledge among the public; to encourage the study of the life and work of the poet Vidyapati; to encourage promotion of Maithili language and literature.

To establish and maintain a library and reading room and to furnish the same with books, periodicals, magazines, newspapers and other publications. To prepare courses for the study of dancing, painting, music and craft and to hold regular classes for coaching students. For any of the purposes aforesaid, to procure the assistance of qualified Instructors, Teachers, Professors and Artists.

To solicit, obtain or accept subscriptions, donations, grants, gifts, devices, trusts and loans from any person, firm, corporation or institution.

To acquire by gift, purchase, exchange, lease on hire or otherwise howsoever any land, buildings, easements, rights or common playgrounds, parks and any property movable and/or immovable and for any estate or interest for the furtherance of all of the objects of the Parishad.

To take such steps by personal or written appeals, exhibitions, public meetings, or otherwise as may from time to time be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring contributions to the funds of the Parishad in the shape of donations, legacies, annual payments or otherwise.
